Who this is for
Operators and integrators building or running low-earth-orbit constellations — the class of system operated by companies such as SpaceX, OQ Technology, and the other LEO operators now deploying gateway and ground-station estates. This page describes the market we sell into; it is not a customer list, and we name no customer without their written permission.
A constellation is only as good as its ground segment. Every gateway needs power, a site, a licence, an antenna, and — the part we do — a fat, diverse, low-latency path back to a core network and out to the internet. That last part is unglamorous, it is where schedules slip, and it is the whole of what we sell here.
We also work with the tier below the constellation operators: teleport owners, ground-station-as-a-service providers, IoT and NB-IoT satellite operators, and the systems integrators building gateway estates on their behalf.

Gateway sites want dry air, low population, clean spectrum and a horizon. Our estate across Wyoming and Montana is exactly that, and it already has power, access roads and fiber.
Three regulatory regions, one contract
United States, United Kingdom and mainland European assets sit under one group. A constellation needing gateways on both sides of the Atlantic does not need three suppliers and three sets of terms.

Capacities, hand-offs and lead times below are the envelope we work within. There is no rate card for this work — every engagement is priced against the sites, the diversity you need and the term, and we quote it in writing after an engineering review.

Lead times assume an existing route to the site. A greenfield gateway in genuinely remote terrain is a construction project, and we will give you a build schedule rather than a lead time. We would rather quote a date we can hold.
Site selection and permitting
Where you have not yet chosen a gateway location, we can shortlist from our own estate. What we look at, in the order we look at it:
- Horizon and elevation mask — surveyed, not estimated from terrain data.
- Existing fiber and how far a lateral would have to run.
- Power — available service, utility lead time, generator and fuel logistics.
- RF environment — measured noise floor, and coordination against our own licensed fixed-wireless bands so that your gateway and our subscriber radios do not fight each other.
- Land control — freehold, long lease, or an easement we can assign.
- Access — a road that is passable in February, which in the Mountain West is not a given.
We support, but do not replace, your regulatory counsel: we assemble the technical exhibits for FCC earth-station applications and their Ofcom and national-authority equivalents, run the frequency coordination, and handle local zoning and county permitting where the site is ours.
How an engagement runs
- Request terms. Use the form below or write to satellite@neweratele.com. Under NDA if you prefer — send yours and we will sign it rather than insist on ours.
- Engineering review, five business days. We look at your sites, capacity and diversity requirements against our routes and estate, and tell you what is genuinely feasible.
- Written proposal. Scope, capacities, hand-offs, availability commitments, latency commitments where applicable, build schedule and price. One document, no verbal caveats.
- Site qualification. A representative and an engineer visit each candidate site. Survey, RF measurement, photographs, and a written report you keep whether or not you proceed.
- Build and acceptance. Weekly written progress against the schedule. Acceptance testing to an agreed plan, and we do not invoice recurring charges before acceptance.
On references and named customers. We do not publish the names of the operators we work with, and we will not publish yours. If you need references before contracting, ask, and we will seek permission from a comparable customer to speak with you directly.

What we will need eventually
Not now — but so you know what a proposal is built from: candidate site coordinates or a search area, required capacity and diversity per site, hand-off type and demarcation, latency commitments if any, target in-service dates, licensing status of the earth stations, and who holds the land.
What we will not do
- Quote a price before an engineering review. A number produced without looking at the sites is a number that changes later.
- Commit to a build date that depends on a permit we have not applied for.
- Name another customer to win your business — which is also why we will not name you.
